Use of profitable fuels in harmony with nature

The GTS enterprise and its partners have many years of experience in the production of electricity from wood, a technology based on fixed-bed gasification. The precious wood raw material is exploited at a decentralized level with maximum efficiency by using power-heat coupling.

The aim of GTS Syngas is the year-round, decentralized production of electricity and heat, as well as high technical availability. Special importance is given to the reduction of residual and waste materials. So, through the full, in-process conversion of fuel, it has become possible to only generate ashes and no further residual materials such as condensate and wastewater.

Individual solutions, specifically tailored to the needs of the customer, distinguish GTS Syngas.  The enterprise guarantees a capacity utilization factor of at least 7,500 full-load hours per year, and ensures optimal technical process conditions with the highest reliability.

GTS Syngas wood energy plants are designed for standard chopped wood fuel or also for shredded, contaminated fuel materials.  Thereby, power generation technology has been adapted to the particular requirements of scrap wood. The customer has the possibility to use profitable fuels and at the same time to protect the environment. High efficiency is achieved with a minimal production of waste materials.

Thanks to the direct market opportunity of woodchip in a proximate biomass power plant, the management of regional forest resources is stimulated. In addition, the plant creates jobs and supports the regional trade through maintenance and servicing. Municipalities as well as commercial and industrial enterprises can ensure their own CO2-neutral energy supply and have a sustainable impact on nature and the regional economy.

The generation of CO-containing gas requires a responsible handling with the used technology. The gas-tight system-design is essential for the operation and safety. However, should a leak occur, a gas discharge is not possible in the power generation system and gas supply area, because this part of the plant is operated with underpressure. In order to prevent the formation of an ignitable mixture in the piping system, the plant is equipped with a redundant oxygen measurement. The integrated gas analyzer provides additional safety for the evaluation of gas production.
